Adrienne brings a nurturing, calming, and affirming presence to her practice and each of her clients. She loves to watch children and families succeed and heal and enjoys working with children of ages as well as adults. Adrienne has 8 years of experience working in the mental health field. She was originally a teacher (which she loved!), but she has found her current work even more fulfilling. Adrienne is a trauma-informed therapist and has experience facilitating psychoeducational groups, working within a protective factors framework, and working with a wide range of children’s behavioral health needs. Adrienne also has experience with mindfulness, play therapy, solutions focused therapy, co-parenting counseling, conscious discipline, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy.
Adrienne’s style is often simple and approachable. She believes a lot of healing can occur in everyday interactions that convey trustworthiness and hope, and she brings this into her practice. With children and adults, fun, playfulness, and humor also play a huge role!
Adrienne received her master’s in social work from UMKC and is licensed in MO and KS. She seeks to be a constant learner and is always looking to augment her skills.
