Lucy strives to make therapy an experience where clients can learn to give themselves compassion rather than judgment. By providing a nonjudgmental space, emphasizing clients’ strengths, and helping clients reframe their thinking, she works toward this goal. She believes one way growth can happen is from changing the beliefs we have about ourselves and how we talk to ourselves.
Lucy is a Licensed Professional Counselor and received her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University. She has experience working with children, couples, and individuals of a variety of ages and presenting problems, but primarily depression and anxiety. She has a foundation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy but also uses more experiential approaches, such as Child-Centered Play Therapy.
She is honored to witness others’ deep struggles and emotions, support them through life’s many challenges, and guide them toward reaching their potential.
