Saryn cares deeply about advocacy, trauma-responsive care, rapport building, and bringing attention to the strengths and unmet needs of those she serves. She believes that all behavior is a form of communication and that as parents and caregivers, we sometimes need support understanding what our children are trying to express. She often approaches from a person-in-environment perspective, making it a priority to acknowledge resilience and strengths when addressing concerns. She has experience using motivational interviewing techniques to meet clients where they are at, even when they might be resistant to therapy. Those that know her describe her as funny, relatable, and a calming presence.
Saryn studied clinical social work through Campbellsville University. She has extensive experience serving youth and families involved in the foster care and criminal justice system. Her work has primarily been serving high acuity clients who are experiencing severe behaviors, substance use concerns, mental health needs, and extensive trauma to ensure they achieve safety and stability. Through this experience, she recognizes the need for youth and their families to have access to consistent providers despite systemic barriers and offers Telehealth options to promote continuity of care.
